07:08 pm - New Post!!!
Hey friends. I know it's been sooo long since I posted on here. But I'm back and making this post. Alot has happened to me the past 12 months so I'll put them in short form...I have a new boyfriend, got into more sci fi shows, got a new computer, made new friends, lost my job and now going to TAFE. Not much else has happened.

I heard a couple of months ago that Stargate Atlantis was cancelled. It's so sad to see a good show like that go. But I guess Sci Fi channel has it's reasons. At least they are giving Stargate Universe the green light...I hope it'll live up to the Stargate standard and have great storylines. That's pretty much all for now.

08:56 pm - Wholly Crap!
Wow, it's been a while since I posted on here....sorry. I've been very busy, I had my 19th birthday, I got a new car stereo for my present as the one it already had couldn't play CDs which I have plenty of...

I also almost died just a couple of days before my birthday. Well it all started from drinking a can of Coke Zero...I know it's poison but yeah, I don't want to sugar diabetes like my father. My tongue started to burn, which reminded me of wasabi, but this was much worse than that. It was really burning so I told my manager about it and he said to go and rinse off my tongue in the sink in the staff toilets. It took like half an hour to get rid of the burning, my manager popped in to see if I didn't fall on the floor unconscious so I told him I only need a few more minutes. After that I called on Coca Cola and they sent out a rep the next day. I got 2 free cartons of coke. Good present but lucky I didn't die either...

Hmm, what else has happened since May. Oh, a guy on the trains that I go to and from work keeps looking at me. I only know cause I keep looking at him lol. I think he actually does like me and I do like him back but none of us has made the move to talk...I just don't know what to say...He may think I'm stalking him, but I'm not, I'm just very observant cause I do know his first name and what make his car is and what his number on his number plate is. I only know his first name because his friend that he talks to every now and then says his name every so often. I don't eavesdrop on their conversation though.

Something big is happening with me at work over the past week or so. I had a guy who claims to be from Murarrie and he was in the US at the time he wanted to make the order and the order is worth over $1000 and he gave me some Amex details. So I contacted Amex to see if it has been stolen or whatnot...

Well that's pretty much all the important stuff that has happened.

12:54 pm - I hate myself
Over the past few weeks, everything bad has happened to me. I lost a very dear friend of mine who thinks I'm obsessed with him. Which clearly I wasn't. I don't like being accused of anything. I do anything and everything to get rid of an accusation. He stuck his head in the sand and thinks the problem has been solved. Yeah right, sticking your head in the sand doesn't solve a thing. The problem will always be there, whether you want it to be or not.

I had my birthday last thursday, 7th of June. I had to work and I didn't want to feel special, so I didn't tell anyone. I'm 19 years old now. Last teen year, oh man, I'll miss being a teen. I found out I have a fungal infection on my leg. It's been there for a few weeks and it was really bad. It also was spreading up my leg from the scar I had when I had a suspected skin cancer cut out. It looked really bad. I'm on the fourth day of the treatment using Lamisil and it's working great so far. It's almost gone now.

I'm going up to the Sunshine Coast to Caloundra for 4 days next week. Leaving on the 21st and coming back on the 24th of June. I think I should have a break. Work has given me sooo much stress, I'll burn out sooner or later.

03:32 pm - New Entry!!!
Nothing much has happened since my last entry. Had work, met new friends. Had a crush...and so on. I was on the phones all week this week. It was a really stressful and really busy week. Every time I had the opportunity to do an order or find the price and availability on a part, the phone rang. I had to stop what I was doing to answer the phone. I was getting sick and tired of it. I didn't particularly like it when the people on the phone were cranky or hard to understand. It's really annoying. Faxes were sort of easier as we didn't have to reply so urgently. I have to remind my boss on monday to order some cable for a customer, otherwise I'm in deep trouble.

Well that's enough for now.

07:54 pm - Been sooo long!
Sorry I haven't posted in so long. I've been very busy with work and other things. I have broken up with my boyfriend and we are just friends now. We did have our disagreements in the relationship which caused this to happen. We did have fights after we broke up as well. Sufficive to say, I'm single again and I hate it!!! I hate being alone, I want to be with someone.

It's three months into my job and it's okay so far. I just hate the idiot customers who come in and ask stupid things like 'Is this the long cable?' or 'Can I have a part for a Panasonic TV?' without a model number or a part number. It's so freaking annoying. One time a guy called saying he bought a part for a Panasonic blender a year ago and wanted a replacement. Panasonic spare parts don't have a warranty, which is really what my company doesn't want. I told him he can call Panasonic Customer Care and complain to them as we would like it to change as well. But he obviously didn't know the difference between Panasonic and my company. My company only distributes for Panasonic we are not Panansonic themselves. So he was going to write to the newspaper saying my company has crappy service. We would have sued him if he did.

Well that's my ranting done for a while.

06:53 pm - Been Very Busy
I know it's been a while since I posted. Well, I'm now in my third week of my job, it's fun and interesting. On New Years, I went out with my boyfriend, yes I have one. We had fun together. Well for Christmas I got an MP3 player, a computer game and an air compressor for my car. I needed that the week before as I had a flat tyre when I got back to my car from getting off the train coming home from work. That's about it that happened. I'm not going to mention my pay, only that it's great money.

09:44 pm - Sorry
Sorry I haven't updated lately. I've been busy with exams and such. I passed all the exams and have now finished Certificate IV in IT. If I am not successful in getting a full time job before the Diploma starts then I'm doing the Diploma in IT. It will go for one year.

Nothing much has really happened in my personal life besides my father having kidney stones and having to go into hospital to have them taken out. My mother has got gall stones now too. I hope she doesn't have to go into hospital either. Well, now I'm on holidays. I hope we start putting up our Christmas stuff soon. As it's getting close to December.

07:23 am - Tiresome
It's been tiresome these past couple of weeks or so. I had the final exam for Network Security last week and I got 97%!!! I knew I wouldn't get 100%. The recent Research Task for Slackware is a nightmare. DNS and BIND stuff is so confusing, we only started on it today and it's due on Thursday!!! I also did a practice practical exam for Linux Server Technology, whenever I had to mount the network server, it always froze and I had to reboot it, which can cause serious damage to the file system. But there was no other choice. Eventually it worked.

09:07 am - Fixing Computers
Well I've been busy since last Friday fixing the computers. My desktop kept crashing and when I boot it up, it kept beeping at me. So I got my 'Upgrading and Repairing PCs' book and looked up what the beep code meant. It meant there was something wrong with the memory. So I pulled out the memory, cleaned the contacts and seated it back in. My laptops has been having a resource conflict when I boot it up. I know how to fix it, but I have to wait til I get some info before I flash the BIOS.

11:51 am - Working
Well, I've been busy with TAFE work and other stuff lately. We didn't have a Slackware class today because the teacher had a conference or something. We did have double theory for Network Security and did the homework during class. One of our students is asking the TAFE to put on a Diploma next year at the campus we are going to now. Cause the campus it's offered at is inaccessable for most students in surrounding area. One of my computer's DVD burner is playing up. I think it's about to die, so I'm going to get a new one soon.

I finally get Firefly on DVD on Monday, it's been delayed since last month for some reason. I hope it isn't delayed again.

Well I passed the MIS exam. I got 100%!!! I also passed the Slackware practical exam. Well I made my first meatloaf last night. It was delicious. Could do it a bit better, but it was delicious none the less. I might get the Firefly season 1 boxset tomorrow. Since it has a price reduction. I know EzyDVD has reduced it's price. But I'll shop around first before I go into EzyDVD and buy it. Cause EzyDVD might not be the cheapest place to buy it.

08:30 pm - Yes!!!
Well, I passed the N5 exam. I got 90%. It was kinda easy. I'm now studying for the MIS exam which is on tomorrow. I've also been practicing installing Slackware. The two times I installed it this afternoon. The Windows X GUI didn't load properly. I did everything correctly the same way I did it this morning, but it didn't work this afternoon for some reason. I just got errors of three BASH shells come up. We just got to hand in our work for our project now. Thank goodness.

Been having a busy week. Slackware class was way disorganised. The teacher was 10 minutes late, then he computer crashed and he took another hour to do something. Then about another hour to talk about crap. So we lost quite a bit of time. I wasn't happy with the teacher, nor alot of the class. I know at least one of us is close to complaining to the administration. I would be too soon, cause I'm not very happy.

Had a busy week. Especially with Project Management. We did quite alot in that class. My brain felt like it was going to explode. I guess I was concentrating too hard. We did a bit of it in the tutorial on Tuesday. We also did two classes in Linux Server Technology on Tuesday afternoon. We only did the practicals for one of them, we'll do the other in the tutorial next Tuesday. We're getting close to finishing our practice project. After the september holidays, we'll start on the assessment project.

08:56 pm - Meh, what subject?
This week has gone pretty slowly. We practically had the same theory for two classes which was Linux Server Technology and Network Services. I was trying not to fall asleep in the Network Services theory, but the practical in that class was relatively easy. The project we're doing in Project Management is coming along okay. We're on schedule and having fun along the way. I got a call yesterday from TAFE. They said that today's Linux Server Technology is postponed cause the teacher is sick. It's the first time TAFE called me to tell me that.

06:29 pm - Fun Stuff
I'm having fun at TAFE so far...not. It's interesting, I can tell you that. But boring at the same time. We had to install Slackware Linux and my installation was totally messed up the first time I did it. But the second time we installed it, it worked. Slackware is a nightmare to install. I do not want to install it again. What Slackware needs is a 'back' button in the installation process. When I did the Fedora Linux install the first time for the class, the root password didn't want to work for some strange reason. I typed it in correctly, but it didn't work. I did installations of Fedora Linux alot of times and that has never happened before. But it finally worked when we installed it a second time. Classes might be moved from Wednesday to Friday for the next couple of weeks because of the Ekka holiday.

Last week was the first week back to TAFE. We finished early every day cause it was basically all introductions to the subjects. We went up to my Uncles place in Ipswich on the weekend. He gave us a LAN Drive. It's a hard drive you put on the computer network and can be used for back ups. They changed the timetable on the weekend. Instead of going to TAFE on Monday, we go to TAFE on Tuesday. We now go three days in a row.

08:26 am - Yay!!!!
This week was pretty fun, I had to drive down to Redcliffe and back for some things last Thursday and I had a night drive last night. Stargate SG1 season 9 had finally started on Channel 7. It's the best season so far since it practically starts anew. They were going to change the name to Stargate Command because of it, but then they decided to keep it called SG1 because they would break the record for the longest running TV show. They are going on to their 10th season now while Atlantis is going onto their 3rd season.

08:34 pm - Relaxing
I had a nice night drive on the weekend. It was fun, I went down a local street that has alot of speed bumps on it. On the news today, 3 women in a car somehow 'accidentally' took a left turn and went the the railway tracks at a railway intersection near my place and a train collided into the car. They got out before the train hit. How could they not now it's a railway? First, you would see the boom gates and 2 you would feel the slight bumps from going over the tracks and then you would feel a huge bump from the road onto the railway tracks. It also doesn't take 3 minutes to get out of the car before a train comes. It's about 30 seconds between the lights on the boom gates light up and the gates come down and the train reaching the intersection. I don't know what way they were going. But I think it was something more than accidental. More like they were trying to beat the train while the lights on the boom gates were on.

I got Family Guy seasons 1 and 2 last week. I watched them both, I love the show. It's really funny. I want to get American Dad season 1 and Family Guy seasons 3 and 4. My car finally got it's brakes fixed, they were wearing out, they did a service as well. I had a drive to Deep Water Bend, I haven't been there for a while and I thought I might as well go for a drive. I purposely hit all the potholes while I was driving through the car park.

07:43 pm - Passed All The Exams
I passed the resit exam I had on Friday. I got 94%, which is 75/80.  I got my first results in the mail today. The both are Js which is a pass and I got a PC for one of them which is Performance Level Assessment Credit. I had a group interview for a job. I haven't heard back from them, they should contact me tomorrow. I hope I did get a job. At the group interview we had to do a task in a group. We had to think up a business package that would become available in the year 2020. We thought up the Grocery Retriever, or GR2020. Which is a hand held screen where you can pick all your groceries and a robot in the store retrieves them. It's accurate because of barcodes. It can be delivered to your house too. It's age group is broad, because it's suitable for busy people, the elderly and so on. It's also cost effective.

06:56 pm - X-Men 3, An Awesome Movie!
I saw X-Men: The Last Stand today. It was an awesome movie. I recommend anyone who's interested in X-Men to see it. It's an emotional film, I can tell you that. It has also go alot of action in it. X3 wasn't as good as what I expected it to be. But I still enjoyed it. I was told to stay behind after the end credits, I didn't think it was worth staying behind, there wasn't much difference to if you left at the end credits. This is a definite for me to get on DVD.

Spoilers are below. Highlight below if you want to read.

The Phoenix/Jean Grey was totally awesome. I knew the Phoenix was really powerful. Class 5 in the movie, but in fact she's an Omega mutant in the comics. Iceman is another Omega mutant. In the movie, the Pheonix was apart of Jean, some comics have the Phoenix as a separate entity and can change hosts. Xaviers death was one of the emotional scenes in the movie. Cyclops' death was just a sidenote, but I would have liked it to have gone further. Probably it didn't because the Phoenix destroyed Cyclops the same way she destroyed Xavier.

It was unfortunate that the Sentinels were only in the training simulation and not in the rest of the movie as well. It would have been good to have seen more of them and see more than their head.

At the end were Eric/Magneto was at the chess table and moves the metal chess piece a little was an obvious sign that they might make X4. The cure wasn't completely effective to all the mutants.

I have completed my website, all I have to do now is the Business Plan for it. I had an interesting weekend. On saturday, we went to my old high school's fete, it's kind of like a carnival fundraiser, I had a little chat to some of my old teachers while I was there. On friday, one of my computers came up saying that the primary hard drive is going to fail soon. Lucky the S.M.A.R.T. was enabled, otherwise it would have failed without warning us.

05:36 pm - Computers
Last weeks teacher for Network +, Windows Networking and Client Support is really hard to listen to. I lose my attention in 2 seconds with him. If it was Crystal or Stephan (the usual teachers) they keep my attention by speaking loud and other things. Crystal sometimes makes the class laugh by what she does. Like one time she was trying to turn the Data Projector on with the remote control. She kept pressing the button the remote. But the Data Projector wouldn't turn on. Then Stephan came in and flicked a switch on the remote control. The Data Projector turns on and the entire class laughed at her.

One of my comps got a virus the other day. Lucky I made a full back up the day before cause I would have lost alot of files.

I am nearing completion of building my website. I have only got to do another 3 pages of typing, then I'm done. My website is on Star Wars and it's on XHTML Strict 1.0 coding. XHTML is the new and mostly used coding language on the web.

I got the cold on Wednesday. It started as a sore throat at lunchtime then more symptoms came. Luckily by Saturday, most of the symptoms were gone. I got a new computer game on the weekend, it's Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth. It so freaking cool! It's like Rise of Nations, but it's Lord of the Rings. I was looking for it for ages. I did little bits of my homework at a time, because of my cold. I'm almost finished with it.

I have one week off from TAFE. I did some night driving for the first time last night. It was weird, it'll take time to get used to. I only drove around the local area. I had another exam last Tuesday for Web Design and I just failed by 5 marks. I had the resit today and I realized they were the same questions, just 20 of the ones that were on the original exam. I'm sure I passed, cause I counted that I needed one more mark to pass while I was doing the exam. I have another exam on Thursday, this time it's on Client Support.

It has been unusually hot recently, the heatwave started yesterday. It reached 34C (93F) in the city. Which is unusual for Autumn. We are having storms tonight. Tomorrow is going to be another stinker, it'll go up to 32C (90F).

It's exam time again and I've been studying and doing the sample exams til I got sick of them. I keep getting over 80% in the sample exams which is excellent, cause only 100 out of the 147 question on the sample exam are on the actual exam. The monitor for one of my computers has died, so we need to get a new one and hopefully sooner rather than later. I am using an old monitor that's lying around to use temporarily til we get a new one. Back to studying for the exams.

06:06 pm - Busy, Busy
This week's classes went quick. On Tuesday we only had one in the morning for Web Design and the Network+ class for the afternoon was cancelled. Web Design was boring as usual. But the Windows Networking class on Thursday was good, cause it was relatively simple and it was mostly easy to do the practicals. I started studying yesterday for the exams that are just over a weeks time. I finished all my homework yesterday too. I started on my website for my Web Design class. I did alot of metadata. I'm taking it slow cause I've got til the end of the semester before it's due. My dog has finally got his bandages of his legs and is walking relatively well. He'll get better over time.
